White tea is almost caffeine free

White tea and its caffeine levels are one of its biggest differences when compared to green tea.There is much less caffeine content in a drink of white tea as compared to a similar serving of green tea. This occurs because there is a chemical within it that acts as a decaffeinating agent. This means that in essence you will be consuming a lesser amount of caffeine.

Whilst both contain a lesser amount of caffeine than black tea, the difference is still of higher value to health enthusiasts who believe that even a little amount of caffeine is not good for health.

White tea caffeine content is different due to the way it is plucked from the Camilla sinensis tree. It is plucked when the leaves have not yet grown and are still mere buds.

When high amounts of caffeine are taken it results in a number of side effects such as Nervousness, anxiety, diarrhea and headaches. Caffeine can become addictive and you can get the same effects as withdrawal symptoms when you try to give it up.

Due to White teas caffeine levels which are extremely low(due to the natural decaffeinating agent), you can enjoy a cup of white tea many times a day. In fact it is one drink that if addicted to can cause almost no side effects for the user.
